The company uses branded Dell hardware to provide a variety of services such as Shared Hosting, UK WordPress hosting, VPS Hosting, Reseller Hosting, Cloud Hosting, and Dedicated Servers. They are among one of Europe’s first companies to provide fully-automated web hosting solutions. Plus, they provide hosting services to over 35,000 customers and more than 150,000 domains. They also serve various public sector organisations in the United Kingdom.

eUKhost provides three shared web hosting plans. These three packages are simply named Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced. They can be seen below:

The cheapest plan is called the Basic plan and costs GBP 3.33 per month. They offer three payment terms, semi-annual (6 months), annual (12 months), and biennial (24 months). Annual and biennial payment terms do not have lower prices. Every payment term costs GBP 3.33 per month. A month-per-month mode of payment is not available with eUK Host Ltd. Thus, upon signing up with the cheapest plan, you have to pay a minimum of 6 months which costs a total of GBP 19.98.

If you pay a minimum of 12 months, you are given a free domain name with the following extensions, .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, .co.uk, .org.uk, .me.uk, and .eu. This comes in handy if you want to save extra cash. Also, if you are just starting out, you don’t have to pay an extra for the domain name registration of your new website.

You are given 2GB worth of storage space with the Basic plan. This means you can only store a total worth of 2GB of data on your website. This is enough if you’re planning to build a small business website, or personal blog, but might become an issue if you want to store lots of images (like photographers might need), or start an e-commerce store with lots of products.

You can have an unlimited number of domains and subdomains in your hosting account. This means you can have multiple websites hosted under one account. This is very handy if you have a lot of websites you want to manage.

All plans including the Basic plan is given an uptime of 99.95%. This means that your website nearly won’t experience downtimes. When your site is down, it cannot be accessed by viewers and can hurt your business or your brand. With a 99.95% uptime, eUK Host promises that your website will be up and running almost all of the time. The company has partnered with R1soft in order to provide daily website backups through R1soft’s Continuous Data Protection (CDP) app. Thus you are protected in cases of data loss.

Finally, the Basic plan offers you unlimited email accounts. You can use this to give mailboxes to a variety of people and departments of your business. Multiple people in charge can take charge of their own mailboxes without having to share it with other people.

Cons

2GB Of Data Only

The Basic plan gives you a total of 2GB of storage space only. This is definitely not as much as most of the competition, it could have been justified if the price was better… To get 20GB worth of storage space, you have to get the Advanced plan which costs GBP 6.66 per month including VAT.

Conclusion

Do we recommend eUK Host? The answer is probably not. But, do we explicitly state that you should avoid them? Definitely not. We’re pretty neutral when it comes to eUKhost.
